Here a gamut mapping algorithm is proposed which is based on the misinterpreted
CARISMA (1992) method published by Morovic and Luo (1997a). A different
method for finding the centre-of-gravity towards which colours are mapped
is suggested and clipping along lines of constant lightness below L*=50
and compression towards the centre-of-gravity above it are used. Reproductions
made using this technique are only subjectively assessed by the authors
who consider the new method to perform better than the algorithm described
by Luo and Morovic (1997a).
